Sliding By with a Fun Interactive Card!

You know those cards that have flaws, but you’re also super proud of? That’s this one for me. There’s lots of things that went wrong that I worked around and it shows to me… but I wanted to share it anyway. I feel like it’s important for us “creators” to show the mistakes, the oops, the not so perfect.

I colored up this adorable girl from Stamp Anniething, called “Audrina – Skating By” and then had this idea to literally make her skate. So I used the Stamp Anniething Slider Mechanism dies to help it come to life. I’ve done the sliders before, but THIS TIME I wanted to hide the slider to make it more magical. I was super happy with how I hid the sliding mechanism in this card to really make it look like Audrina was skating! I’m not happy with how I made the ice….. definitely going to try using some liquid crystal effects next time. (I used acetate and thought it would help it all look like ice but nope, still looks like glue lol)

Greatest Guy By Par Father’s Day Card

I’ve been on a really big coloring kick lately/for a while now. I absolutely LOVE coloring with my COPIC markers so I thought I’d start blogging my coloring projects more. Some of my all-time favorite images to color come from Stamp Anniething. I love the adorable images she designs!! They can fit for literally just about anything – or any pop culture fandom!

For today’s card, I chose the adorable Zac – Above Par image for a Father’s Day card. I used some retired Stampin’ Up patterned paper, as well as a retired Embossing folder and sentiment to tie everything together. The cute characters come with a sentiment already but I liked the way this one was formatted. You can find more details as well as my COPIC combinations below.
